Let’s talk about Henri Bendel for a moment. Who out there knows about this brand, and loves it?
I’ve been obsessed with this loud, yet elegant accessory house ever since college, and I partly blame Gossip Girl for it. If you were an avid GG watcher, this brand will hold a very special place in your heart! The show fueled my New York City obsession to new heights and my love for all things Bendel. Fun fact: it was my first personally funded designer handbag purchase, during my first trip ever to Manhattan! I carried that backpack everywhere, from weekends away from school, and shopping back home in California on holiday breaks.
The most special characteristic of their brand is their focus on living an effortlessly fashionable city lifestyle. I love brands that tell a story through their pieces, as it’s what makes styling so much fun. As a self proclaimed “city girl” myself, I love being able to take risks on trends. After all, fashion is truly art we live our lives in, why not let our narrative be just that? The newest spring collection, Pretty in Punk, couldn’t speak to my fashion narrative more!
The Jetsetter Convertible Backpack
As a hustlin’ city professional, functionality is everything when it comes to choosing my handbags. I’m always running across town from meetings to workouts, and having a bag that does it all is paramount. One of my biggest gripes about San Francisco street fashion is seeing the myriad of sad, boring tech backpacks everywhere. There’s so many more fun ways to get your laptops and workout gear from point A to B! The Jetsetter Backpack from Henri Bendel is a prime example. Equipped with a large bucket that holds your laptop, wallet, and extra change of clothes, it makes for a chic way to transition out of the office, to your favorite workout studio, and happy hour, all in one!
I am PUMPED to finally unveil a new piece of gear I got for Christmas this year, my DJI Mavic Pro Drone! I’ve spent the last month playing with it on weekends, and learning to fly and record myself at the same time. It’s pocket friendly, and upon receiving my Jetsetter Backpack, I knew I had to take it on an adventure in the city! The carrying case easily fit into it, alongside my large Saint Laurent wallet, Melrose’s doggie necessities, and reading material for the park. I can’t wait to take my backpack and drone to New York Fashion Week in a few weeks, and film in style!
This week’s OOTD Novela is all about that #BendelGirl city life, San Francisco style! Also making his first blog debut is my fur baby, Melrose, who turned seven this past December. He’s been my partner in crime ever since he arrived in San Diego at eight weeks old, and made my apartment a true home. He even had his very own Bendel accessory, the FabuLeash, as his first ever street style piece! I SO hope Bendel’s comes out with a remake of this! Until then, they still have some seriously fab pet accessories, so check them out!
