Fashion Friday: Monochrome Musings

When asked what my go-to uniform is, I almost always respond with “something black.” I’ve always been more of a fan of statement accessories and makeup, so my style is often very monochromatic with few patterns unless it’s more of a texture thing. When I go out on the town, or run errands around town, you can almost always find me in a leather jacket of some sort, from wraps, bombers, or the original classic.

That said, when you wear something all the time, you have to mix it up and play around with it. Rent The Runway has been one of my fashion obsessions for years. For someone who’s constantly evolving and playing with her style, it’s a great way to have a never-ending revolving door of on-trend statement pieces at my disposal. This amazing leather jacket is one of my repeat rentals, as it’s beyond versatile. It comes with a detachable faux fur collar, making it easily transitional throughout the seasons.

Leather jackets are a great way to street style your active fashion, as it adds a polished element of style to an otherwise casual ensemble. Rent The Runway has changed the game for me when it comes to outerwear and accessories, as I don’t have to commit to the closet space/cost of owning a million different styles of jackets, making it convenient for storage, and most importantly, travel! Having bulky pieces shipped to my hotel instead of taking up room in my suitcase has made life so much easier, and given me more room for more outfit options in my suitcase or weekend tote. If you’ve never tried it before, what are you waiting for? Book your next rental here.
